Fanning Springs State Park
Located
on the east bank of the historic Suwannee River in Levy

people for thousands of years. Many species of wildlife,
such as the otter and the currently endangered West Indian
manatee, have used the spring far longer.
Fanning Springs is one of Florida's first-magnitude springs,
releasing approximately 69 million gallons of water per day.
The water has a constant temperature of about 72 degrees.
Fanning
Springs State Park is managed by the Florida Department of
Environmental Protection as one of Florida's premier parks.
In addition to the beautiful spring and river access, the
park offers picnic pavilions, a playground, a volleyball
court, a hiking trail, and a softball field. A
newly-completed boardwalk winds around the spring area,
ending in a covered gazebo at the river's edge.
Fanning Springs State Park is located on U.S. Highway 19 in
the city of Fanning Springs. For more information, call
